A Basic Guide to Understanding and Enhancing Your Contracts in Daily Operations |
Recently, construction partner Jason Leung and associate Justine Hwang from our pro bono strategic partner JSM delivered a Contract Law Lunch & Learn workshop titled “A Basic Guide to Understanding and Enhancing Your Contracts in Daily Operations” to over 30 representatives from various Social Purpose Organizations (SPOs) within the SIP and WYNG communities.
Misunderstanding essential contract terms often leads to monetary losses and project delays for these organizations. To address this challenge, the workshop aimed to equip participants with practical contract law knowledge to help them navigate legal complexities effectively.
The session covered not only fundamental legal principles of contract law but also included an interactive segment, where participants were guided through a template contract prepared by our team. This hands-on approach helped attendees understand, review, and negotiate key contractual clauses while considering important factors throughout the process.

CareER Receives the 2025 Zero Project Award for Advancing Disability Inclusion |
We are thrilled to celebrate CareER, which has been honored with the prestigious 2025 Zero Project Award in Vienna for its CareER Disability Inclusion Index (CareER DII)!
As the only Hong Kong organization to receive this global recognition for the second time, CareER remains a pioneer in advancing disability inclusion.
The CareER DII is an innovative tool that helps corporations enhance internal policies and practices, ensuring greater inclusion and accessibility for employees and customers with disabilities. By fostering inclusive workplaces and premises, this initiative empowers companies to create equitable opportunities for all.
Since its launch in 2021, 40+ corporate partners have collaborated with CareER DII, collectively representing nearly 10% of Hong Kong’s workforce. Together, they are driving a meaningful cultural shift toward a more inclusive job market.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of the CareER team. At SIP, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to provide financial support during a critical funding gap, allowing CareER to continue its valuable services. To further strengthen their advocacy and strategic direction, we engaged Professor Albert Teo and his research team from Tung Wah College to conduct an SROI impact analysis, which provided meaningful qualitative feedback from corporate partners. We are pleased that the SROI findings were also included in CareER’s award application, highlighting the measurable impact of their efforts in advancing disability inclusion.
